    This may not help you....but.....

I have tried a film and one of those rotary ones in the past (about 10 years ago)

I found they did not cut well and caused in growing hairs

I just bought the Philishave HS8040 off ebay. Argos sells them for £100, I paid £67.50 inc postage. Been using wet shave razors for as long as I can remember, and this is the best shave I've had in ages. The absolute dogs, i reckon

Sorry, can't help - I hate electric razors. Started with a blade and later tried them and never get on with them, irritated and cut my skin to bu**ery!! - so blade all the way for me.

If you do get one, you may find that as well - irritation and cutting until your skin gets accustomed to it. I simply wasn't prepared to keep on trying and trying to see if it would get any better.

Before I got the Philshave, the last time I used an electric shaver I had these problems. But I have to say, this new one gives a close a shave as wet, and hasn't caused any irritation yet. It pumps out a conditioner as it shaves. I won't go back to wet shave now

I'm half way there to having a beard. I detest shaving mainly because i have sensitive skin and find shaving extremely boring. I've got to the stage now i can't be bother with the hassle. That's why i thought the electric option would be quicker.
