Default Tuning available for CDTi with DPF

    Guys,

I'm after a tune up or re map for my 150 CDTi Signum. I'm aware of the 'Caterman' Box from Germany but was wondering about the re map options available to me.
Firstly, what are they and how much are they?
Secondly, will Vx void my warranty if I get one done?

    Andrew

Firstly, any box or remap will void your warranty.

As for remaps, there's several to choose from, but not much between them really.

888 and Regal both sell generic maps written by a german company called EDS. Proven, safe, and 185BHP no matter what they claim. Regal, BSR and Thorney Motorsport all sell handheld units that let you load and remove the map as often as you like. All of these are around the £500 mark, give or take a bit.

There are loads of companies offering mobile remaps, but AFAIK nobody on here has used them for the simple reason that there's no way they can prove their claimed results, and probably no backup if you have a problem.

    Does that help?

It cost £550 all in and it gives you approx 185bhp and 412nm of torque.

It is a bit dearer than other software, but you get free updates and have the freedom to take it on and off when required.

You will also see an impact on fuel consumption on long journeys is has given me approx 5-7mpg more.
