Unhappy dashboard and interior lights not working

    hi people
i just wanted to ask if there is a fuse that controls the dashboard and interior lights
i installed a bluetooth kit thru the vda lead and i noticed my dash and interior lights do not come on
when i press the overhead switches to turn on interior lights the lights on my stereo come on
all my dash dials work , stereo works ,electric window bit weird tho
    wipers and cruise control fine
i disconnected the vda lead and nothing changes back.
disconnected battery for an hour and that had no effect either
i hope its not the c.i.m behind speedo
thanks for any help u can give me
    enjoy ur evening..

    thanks for quick reply mark
does that cost a lot of money to do a level code read?
do the just plug into diagnostic plug and scan for codes?

lets just say that Arnold Clark aren't the best....if you can find an auto electrician with a GOOD level of access into the cars COMPLETE fault codes and access into the CIM then that could be far better..

    Default update

    hi mark.

just to let you know i found out that the reason my dashboard and interior lights wasnt working ,,,one of my fuses on the passenger side of my glovebox had blown fuse no 12 battery overload protection 15amp mini blade.
boy am i glad i didnt need to pay for a c.i.m to be replaced.
hopefully this will help overs as well?

cheers to mark for quick replies and helpfull info much appreciated

p.s i think the fuse had blown due to water coming in thru the ariel seal
as the rear interior fitting was soaking and i had about 3 inches of water under spare wheel lol may go for a wee swim in it lol

    thanks again
    ray..
