Question How to change Vectra estate rear lights.......

    Afternoon all,

New to this site, spent most of this morning reading instead of working

I need to change both tail lights in my wifes Vectra estate tailgate. The handbook suggests taking the vehicle to the dealer, but surely it can't be *that* difficult to do ??

So, I can see that there are two clips and one torx screw, I just wanted to check if there was anything else I need to watch out for ?

Any advice gratefully received, can't belive the amount of info on this site!!

    Cheers,
    James

I done by myself in a few minutes. There is no need to take the car to the dealer. It's not so difficult, you can do it by yourself. You'll find it's very simple.
Detaches the clips, unscrew the screw torx, pull down the cover and than you gain access to the light.

...sorry for my english, I know it's not so good!

Superstuper - thanks for that mate, tbh I was suprised when I read in the handbook about taking it to the dealer.....

No prizes for guessing what I'll be doing this weekend then....hopefully the rain will have stopped!

I presume the two clips just pull straight out ?

    Cheers,
    James

torx screw is behind the inner handle, 2 clips one either side of the lock, then it just pulls off.

Thanks for the replies guys !

TBH I didn't think it looked too challenging, but as its the wifes car I thought it best to get a second opinion.
Last thing I need is GBH of the earhole for damaging her car !

    Cheers,
    James

On a related note, does anybody know if there is an ignition-switched 12V supply available inside the tailgate?
