Default My Swirl Valve Repair for £4.28 !!!

Having found this lying on my Engine
    http://forum.vectra-c.com/showthread.php?t=38787

And being Spured on & inspired by pete mc (Not as Cheap as yours Pete !! )
    http://forum.vectra-c.com/showthread.php?t=33511

i went ahead tonight & repaired my Swirl Valve issue.

I purchased some Unibond All Purpose Repair @ £3.99
This is Heat & Oil resistant, Bonds all materials & sets in 5 Mins, Can be Rough Handled after 2 Hrs

    All Bit's purchased from Wilkinsons

I also purchased some Screw Caps Brown (Colour is your Choice )

I degreased & cleaned the Swirl Bar & then lightly sanded the Black plastic cups on the Swirl Bar Rail, Separated 4 of the Cup part's from the screw Caps.

Mixed a portion of the Unibond & Glued the Cups to the Swirl bar.
I then Mixed furher Unibond & applied this around the Cap Cups & Black Plastic on the Swirl Bar.

I left this to go quite hard for about an Hour & a Half.
Then lined up all the swirl valves as per No3 Swirl Valve (Counting left from the timing cover) & Fitted it.

Fitting it was the most time consuming part, It was a right Barsteward to Hold, get in Line & Push, Much Patience required !!!!

    AnyHow, It works

How long will it last I just don't know !! But it has to be better than lying on the engine

rip on VX's part, they know they supplied a sub part, ok if you are under 3yrs or 60k, but they will also know this remedy, but instead will charge £600 for a new one.
