paying for a recall part?

Took my car Vectra estate for a service today was told that Vuxhall have just issued a recall for the diesel particle filter and told that it would have to be replaced, no probs I thought , then wife collected and paid for car, so when I looked at invoice tonight I've been charged for the parts is that right?

Hell no!!! A recall means you get it all done FOC!! Get back to the dealer and give them hell!

Just a sec - wasn't the DPF recall just a software thing, didn't think it involved new parts?

So what exactly did they charge you for?

I really don't believe what i've just read. Go back to the dealers armed with said invoice, ask service manager to kindly bend over so you can shove his invoice where the sun don't shine
