Angry If your feeling a bit down today....

I can make you feel better.. enjoy

How to debadge your VXR logo Spoons style

Step 1 : Use an old credit card found in the garage to saw through the sticky stuff and pull the badge off.

Step 2 : Realise that you've scratched the **** out of the silver strip with the 'sawing' motion, try and de-scratch it with meguires paste.

Step 3 : Nope, forget step 2, cos that isnt going to work.

Step 4 : Order a new Silver Strip, cos it'll look better.

Step 5 : Carefully unbolt the 'now scratched' silver strip and remove carefully, so not to bend it (as it can be used again).

Step 6 : Once bent, just rip the ****in thing off and put some little scratches on the paintwork, so you can remember the day.

Step 7 : Throw the old 'now mangled' silver strip away

Step 8 : Replace the new Silver Strip and carefully attach the bolts, remembering to drop at least one down the back of the lock mechanism

Step 9 : shut the boot, and try to open it again......

Step 10 : The boot should now be firmly shut and will resist every attempt to open it, even with excessive force.

Step 11 : climb in through the rear seats and remove the plastic panel to examine jammed boot lock. If it wont budge, rip it into small pieces.

Step 12 : Order a new lock and plastic trim from Vauxhall and prepare the angle grinder.

Cost of removing VXR badge = £ 152.63 (without labour charges)

Thank you for calling... please come again

Try using a glass polish kit. Gonna get one to get rid of some scratches on mine. Some kits will work on metals. Depends on how deep the damage is....

    Example below

Glad too see that sort of thing doesn't just happen too me!

I think I might have booked it into a garage as the boot "simply won't open" and deny all knoweldge! (then pray they cannot blame me!) Another warranty claim.....
Now I need a turbo to keep up!
