    Default Boot Cubby Hole Door Question

    A werid one this... but I have a reason for asking....



    Any one know if that door is detacable ? If so whats the dimensions of it & the space behind it ?

    the door is attached to the side trim card...you could cut it off and fabricate a hinge for it..if you want to see what size the hole is, just remove the screws under the side shelf and take the side liner out..

    This might help.

    PS older vecs have a liner built into the side, so you open the door and see a nice tidy plastic trim rather than bare metal

    Or, If you have a Signum, the doors detatch themselves, and you get a nice holder for a can of oil and a tyre pump!

    Cheers all... its for the new CarPC and seeing as I dont have the car yet ( 2-3 months now ) its a bit of a pain buying bits.

    I'll be using the door and placing a little plexi window in it lit in red by CC tubes. The mobo is diddy so will fit with ease end of the day.

    Rushy - do you know the measurments there so I have an idea of the space I have to use ?

    Without going out and gutting the boot mate sorry no. The hole is for a 8 inch sub. The space starts to narrow as it gets to the top though. If the weather is ok this weekend i'll get you some measurements mate.
