sh*t mate, not good. I take it your covered by the bank? I know from previous experience (shell garage employee) what its like to have your cards and accounts ripped off but thankfully in the end we lost nothing except sleep, hope the powers that be sort it for you quickly.

Sorry to here that m8 that's a nasty b*mmer Be sure to check all the computers you use for internet access, there's a real chance the hacker got the info from an infected PC.

    You probably did'nt get hacked!

What the clever little ****ers do is on web pages that handle transactions etc they put a direct link from their computer to the shopping cart, payment page etec, etc.

So when you click pay or complete transaction a page pop's up that looks very legitimate and ask's you to kindly to confirm your details.

From this they then screw the arse out of your cards.

****ers, ****ers ****ers is all I can say!

always use alpha numeric passwords for anything money related.

if you're useless with alphanumeric passwords a handy tip is find the win98 / XP / Vista sticker on your pc.
    that's unique and alphanumeric.

just pic 2 of the 5digit blocks and use them

And in furture banks, paypal or any transaction type of page will usually ask you your agreed security question. If a webpage asks you for:

    - Address
    - Name
    - Date of Birth

Alarm bells should ring right away!!!

Also when you are finished - if you are using internet explorer:

In the menu bar at the top go to Tools>Internet Options> Click on the contents tab and, click on the 'Autocomplete' option and uncheck ALL the boxes. This will stop Internet Explorer saving passwords and user names and will clear any search engine searches.

Also clear all history too - most people are unaware of this especially in their place of work and inadvertently leave all very important personal information on their work computers, allowing any unscrupulous characters to access it.
