Default Now I'm cooking on gas!!!

I have a plan, Steve and Keith are taking the pi$$ but it think it might work. I was talking to Chris about NOS and he said the American suppliers told them not to bother? They said that LPG is safer, easier, more reliable and works really well.

So, here's the plan - I'm going to do an LPG conversion on the beast... Obviously though, being me, I'm going to do it Nutron style. I'm going to get an LPG cylinder from B&Q or the like and rig it up with lots of hose and a regulator. I'll have someone controlling the flow from in the car and the gas will be flowed into my custom air box.

What do you think? Steve just keeps laughing but he's worried it might work.

Hmmmm, didn't I mention this some time ago and you dismissed it Carl?.

Well, I hope it works well for you as this is one mod I would seriously consider, but with two settings, one for economy and at the flick of a switch, performance.

Oh, and inject it after the MAF sensor else it will reduce the amount of diesel.

The MAF without LPG will still inject as normal and you want to augument the mix (Add) for more power and burn up to 100% of the injected diesel. Currently diesels only burn about 75% ish of the fuel, so by adding LPG, you get another 25% more power in theory.

Thinking that too lol! Dont think the performance side will quite work as it does with nitros as lpg doesnt have the same oxygen content as nitros oxide! I have a BIG bottle of nos sitting outside my house but its not for cars lol. Been very VERY tempted to play tho!

I don't remember the bit about a barbeque gas bottle

I'll have to get a move on if I'm going to get it done before the meet tomorrow though.

Hehe, I was initially toying with the idea of those Butane / Propane mix canisters for an extra shot when needed, but with the increase in fuel costs, something bigger is much more attractive.

I wonder if you could use some Hydrogen Peroxide for the ultimate boost, at 40 Deg C it liberates at least 10 times it's volume as Oxygen, so a little makes a lot of difference.
