    Exclamation WARNING to all changing bulbs

    WARNING.. i un bolted and un pluged control box next to the battery to make extra room to change bulb, BUT when conecting them together again i bent a small pin in a connector block( causing fogs not to work) also the engine managment light to come on. spoke to vx the said recommened bent pin so checked and luckly straighened it and now works they said to clear engine man light i had to deadlock car then unlock and start... all works, i was luck.............could have been costly?


    so be warned my friends..........

    Sounds like the main ECU harness plug that you disconnected!!! Gotta be careful with that one.

    Yep, deffo one to disconnect the battery before disconnecting. Short a terminal and it could be fried ECU!

    You don't need to do that to change the bulb do you?
    On the 3.0 V6 CDTI all you need to do is unclip the screenwash holder, remove it, then lift the battery box cover out of the way
    Access is poor, but not impossible!

    I think its easier to take off the front bumper and remove the headlight, especially on a facelift!!

    nah, i got massive fat hands and even i can get my hands in to change bulbs, main and dip, easy enough
