Question TC / ESP Switch ???

    Silly question time

I have been to the dealers and bought a T/C ESP switch

I fitted the switch to the car and when i press it the symbol appears on the dash to confirm that it works.

    now for the silly question

What does it do? & When should / could it be used ?

If on a very slippery surface i.e. snow or ice, maybe then it could be useful. It turns the traction control off, thats all.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Errm not always. Sometimes the TC interfears too much and does not allow the wheels to turn off. SOMETIMES its useful to "give it some beans" and let them spin to gain at least some traction...... evry seen tractor pulling, newtons laws still apply in cars on snow
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

LOL, difference in opinion there....a spinning wheel is one that is out of control..ask any 4 wheel drive instructor....controlled application of torque by either electronic or manual means is whats required to maintain traction...
