i done this previously in my old cav and the wiring was there but ass it it was not bing used in my model cav was jus taped into the loom, was wondering if this would b the case in my vecy as the transplant should b pretty much the same then and fairly straight forward.

Have a search on the forum for this as it's been discussed a fair bit,and done by people.

Heated seats is basically a case of getting the seat pads, the switch for the dash and fitting them - no Tech 2 needed. Being an 03, it should have the wiring already there.

Also, being an 03 it may have the wiring there for the rear windows. If so, you'll need the regulators, switches and mechanism to fit. These aren't cheap from the dealers (the regulators being the main cost) so maybe a visit to a scrappy.

Do have a search though, as there is a lot of info on the forum.

    danBoy,

What are these 'regulators', some kind of door controllers like in the front doors?

    Cheers,
    Hans

If we are talking about front heated seats then I can advise you. As Duncan pointed out the wiring will be there but only as far as the plug in the floor below the front seats. You will have to buy replacement harnesses for both front seats.

Your current seats will only have wiring for the airbag and seat belt pre tensioners. The harness has to be removed and replaced with a new one which includes X2 extra plugs for the two mats (seat base & backrest).

I have posted a 'how to' on the forum for you to follow if you are doing the mod.

    Paul.

Won't the full wiring for the front heated seats be there already though Paul being an 03? I thought it was just on the facelifts that the harness needed changed?
