    Default Busy morning!!!!!

Well while the rain managed to stop for a couple of hours it gave me the chance to do a few jobs on the car

    Firstly, this arrived yesterday..........

    So it meant removing these,

    ........and cleaning out this.......

......in the white box was this.........

Then it had a quick wash as it started getting very cloudy Just had time to take a few pics of things done last week.

    The sill plates and mats

    Front

    .....and rear.....

    ...........and finally......badges removed

The airbox mod and filter HAS made a difference, pulling off the drive and up the hill as i normally would felt so different I've only been for a quick spin around the block but it definately seems to be more responsive.

That is the small piece of plastic you remove to do the "Airbox mod" If you look at the filter you can see how dirty half of it is. Only half of the filter is being fully used. Removing the piece of plastic causes more air to enter the airbox helping the engine breathe easier.

It was on offer from Courtenay for £19.99. There is one for sale on here in the "parts for sale" section for £20 delivered if he still has it

Very nice, I have one of them white boxes too. Will be fitting soon along with the airbox mod and the GSI intake.
Like the mats and sill plates, leather looks real nice too!

I'm not being funny but I noticed a difference by just putting a standard Vx filter in too . Was more responsive. My air filter was pretty much in the same state of yours and I think anything would of improved it! However for £20 you cant go wrong, worth doing for a performance filter . I wouldnt pay the £45 or so that K&N want though, waste of money IMO as the standard filter also "makes a difference"

I know what you mean m8 For £20 it had to be worth it as it came with the oil as well so can't be bad

Just a shame we cant get a proven reliable remap for our 3.0 V6 Euro 4's . Dont think its going to happen. I think Matt (Maverick) tried a couple of places and had no luck. .
