Default 314mm upgrade help needed right now!!

    Hi guys,

just gone to fit the bigger brakes, I have the capilers, discs and pads, but it looks like the carrier won't fit over the disc, it looks too small.

Can someone confirm that you can definately do it with the existing carriers, my car is a 2002 2.2 sri.

    Cheers

The kit from vauxhall, per the thread on fitting the upgraded brakes...

search for 314mm upgrade, one guy said he had ordered the carriers, someone else said that they weren't needed, and that was for a 1.8?

Carriers should not be needed m8, the caliper should bolt straight on. Have Vx given you the 314mm calipers though

There just seems no way that the carrier is going to have the bigger discs fit under them. Did you get the carriers when you bought the kit off LMF?

    Cheers

2005 on a '54 plate. Try PM'ing Mark (GSi3.2) and ask his advice m8. He know's Vx's inside out and will know the answer for sure.
