    Default Cdc, Ids

Anybody has any information on CDC and IDS?
    How do they work?
What components are altered compared to standard setup?

e.g.: if I have to change the suspension (shock absorbers) are they different?

    thanks

I have IDS+ on mine, as far as i know when you press the sports button it sharpens the steering response, throttle response and optimises braking and suspension performance, i looked into changing the springs a few months ago and i was told by 888 that the springs could be changed but to leave the shocks alone as they were more than suitable for any mods, i was quoted about £200 for the springs, Steve (SPOONS) has just changed the springs on his VXR and that also has IDS+..

    thanks for the reply.

yeah, I knew that the steering, throttle and suspension get agressive by the Sport mode.
(this Sport button is prohibited to use for me in residental area)

I'm just wondering how difficult it's whenever the suspension needs some fix or replacement.

thats strange, how come your not allowed to use the sports button in a residential area where you are?? is it due to emissions or something? I would assume from looking at the shock that they would just be removed and replaced in the same way as normal shocks but with the IDS electronics connected at the top of the shock mounts.. It might be worth emailing 888 and asking them?

it's our family-law, they do not like when the car gets nervous with the sport mode

CDC: in the meantime I figured out that shock-absorbers have some solenoid valves to control the damping, so I guess they can be rare and not cheap
