    Default Timing Belt Kit

    Hello

First of all I'm sorry if I post this in the wrong place but I really need an answer to my question.
I have a Vectra C 1.8 and it has 28000 Km on board and the car was made in 2003, my question is: when do I need to go to service to change the timing belt kit?
Changing the timing belt kit depends, only, of the number of Km do you have with your car or?
Someone told me that if I do not have 60000Km yet, and the car has 4 years old than I must change the timing belt kit, is that right?

Please, can you help me with some info?

I thought it was 5 years or 60,000 MILES, whichever come first.

The handbook will have these details for sure.

yes, it's age and mileage dependant, so low miles in 5 years means it still needs changing

My astra with the same Z18XE engine needed changing at 40k miles or 4 years.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

The reason why I put this question is because, next week I will go to Austria for skiing and I will drive around 2000 KM and I do not have time to change the timimg belt kit until next week, I will do that as soon as I will came back.
Do you think there is a problem doing so?

    Thank for your information
