got the 120 cdti (manual) and all i can say is it's great averaging 600 miles to the tank, quick with a box on and as smoooth as silk, the 150 is a little better
ditchp, What sort of MPG are you getting out of your 120 ?
around 45 -50 mpg depend's on who's driving and where, constantly getting around 550 - 600 miles per tank full... as said the 150 is a little better on the fuel, but allow a loss for the auto box.....
Auto's ( like the bad car we just got rid of) give a best of 45mpg in the real world...shocking first gear turbo lag as well...
If the car you're looking at is in a dealers in bedfordshire.. don't buy it....
Its not that car in a dealers in bedfordshire, is there any reason why this car should not be purchased?
My 1.9CDTI (150) Auto has proved to be quite reliable in the year that I have had mine - I average about 500 miles out of a tank.
As Mark says though, the first gear lag is bad.
it's our old 150 in ultra blue....and it's had far too much warranty work done on it...it's only got a short warranty remaining and it's spent lots of time at the dealers so far.....

Dont expect to get the same mpg as a manual as they are very heavy on juice.
Over 15,000 miles and mostly motorway it average 37, I then got the bsr kit and it up'd it to around 42mpg and drove 100 x better.
