    Default Petrol Consumption seems pants!?

Did a run to France yesterday and was not too impressed with the pertrol consumtion only got about 31 mpg on my Vectra 2.0T - expected more??
Don't do much motorway driving now so was wondering what sort of figures other people are gettting.

    Cheers

That's about the best I've had on a long motorway run (31/32mpg). About 27/28mpg on average. Bit less if it's been a lot of town driving or I've been really booting it!

I must admit, when I got the car I was expecting it to get better mpg than it did. But given the performance, and big grin, I get out of it with the remap then I suppose it's the price you pay?

I've actually been well chuffed with the consumption of my GSi 3.2 auto. It averages just over 29mpg in mixed driving. This is a bit better than my previous 2.5 and 2.6 autos and seems pretty reasonable for a large car. I can't remember how much power the 2.0T makes, but if it is about the same as the V6, you'd expect similar mpg figures.

MInes very good on a motorway run, gets in the high 30's.... 75-78mph with the cruise control on, best economy you can expect with the 2.0t.

Even when just driving to office 2 miles each way, I never go below an average of 35 mpg, on proper journeys low fiftys and this is on an automatic gearbox, deisel may cost .02p per litre more but certainly seems the way forward from my view point.
Performance is great through the auto box as you have loads of low down torque .
Mine is an older 03 model so only has the 125 hp 2.2 engine, I belive the newer ones are even better.
