Quick question for MLC.

Just after a little bit of advice really,

I have sent my licence away to dvla to have Cat. C added along with a medical and my passport.

However last night i was thinking

what if i get stopped and get a producer?

I esentially(sp) have no proof of ID

I have 7 days to produce but my licence could take upto 4 weeks to come back...

Chances are i wont but if i do what can i do/say?

Tell whoever stops you that it has been sent off to DVLA to have more categories added. Do you have any other form of photo ID?!?

As long as you can produce some form of photo ID to prove who you are, the chances of you getting a HORT/1 (producer) is fairly slim as we have other means of checking that your documents are in order.

i have photo copies of it in the car, both the photocard and counterpart just incase but they might not accept it?

Photocopies will do just fine matey. Not all 'coppers' are jobs worths.

My bro had this. He sent his license away to have some points removed. He was then stopped and given a producer. As he couldn't show his license the feccers sent him to court and he ended up with a nice fine!

As per Jamies post. We can do instant roadside checks on licence/insurance/mot.

Just make sure you've got a form of ID. And full marks for photocopying your licence.
