    Talking Clarkson falls short...

Read today that the world's number 1 veccy hater Mr J. Clarkson ' I’m a big smart arse' posted his bank account details on his column in the Times. The reason behind this was to prove that showing people your personal data is no big deal... well that was until he found out that a reader had set up a £500 monthly direct debit giving the proceeds to diabetes UK. Well HA HA Mr Big head..... Trouble is although £500 a month would make a big dent on most people's finances it probably didn’t even make a dent in his monthly interest never mind all the millions he has. Anyway I hope he has the decency to make a sizable donation to the above charity and just do what he does best which is apart from being a prat, drive 'supercars' on country lanes and do dougnuts on the TG test track....

Thats not the first 'stupid thing' he wrote. Remember last year November/December he wrote in a column that he picked a yob up for taunting him outside a liesure complex?

Not quite true. Read the full article on the Times website. He did what anyone would do in this Country had it not become so damned tied up in legislation and law that you, the victim, would face prosecution for defending yourself.
He was investigated by the police, no charges were brought and some of the youthS (sic) were brought up on charges.

He is one of the few public people who has both the courage of his conviction and the balls to speak out in public.

I know he slates vectra's, but he don't half come out with some legendary quotes
"Clarkson now says of the case: "Contrary to what I said at the time, we must go after the idiots who lost the discs and stick cocktail sticks in their eyes until they beg for mercy."

Sorry but he nearly landed himself in hot water, he was lucky a witness caught the whole incident - and don't think for a minute I back up the youths, but there is courage and then there is plain stupidity. As far as I'm concerned if he kept quiet the investigation would not have happened.

Yes he was having a fag outside, yes he was minding his own business and yes youths started on him and yep, you're right there, he didn't tolerate it - ps i'm not condoning violence - but he basically confessed and let his ego run away with him in that column.

And what if the security guard seen the last 10 seconds of the incident - what would of been in the headlines then?
