confused Heated mirror not heating up.

    Hi to all
I wonder if someone could help me out.
I have a 2004 sxi with heated mirrors and the drivers side is not heating up.but the passenge and heated rear window are.
Is there a seperate fuse as I can not find it.
I have tested the voltage at the mirror and there is no voltage.
I have also tested the resistance of the element and it is 11 ohms is that ok.
Thanks for help on this steve.

Are the rest of the door/mirror functions still working? Just trying to rule out a Driver's Door Module (DDM). That's a 30A fues (#15) in the compartment behind the side of the passenger side dash.

If that's not it, you may have a break somewhere - may need to follow the wire back to find it.

    Thanks for info.
Mirror motors work ok just the heating element will have to take door skin off I think.
Does anyone know if there are any fuses in door module.
    Thanks.

if there's no power going to the mirror element then you either have a broken wire or a fuse out, sounds like the fuse is ok, so I would have thought you have a crimped/cut wire.

    confused

    Hi
I have just had door skin off and checked wire direct to element from door module plug and all is ok.
Does anyone know if there is anything that I can check before door module or is the door module looking like the cause.
    Thanks steve.

i take it you've taken the mirror glass out and checked the two wires are still connected to the terminals and they're not corroded...or it could be as simple as a bad contact on the back of the glass, where the spade connector attaches..

I'd check that the element in the glass is ok. Maybe the element is open circuit.

I thought he'd tested the voltage on the wires connectors already?, hence ruling out the actual connectors on the mirror.
