    Default Exhaust

Ok was under the car havin a look when they were doing the allignment and the back box is looking a bit ropey so was thinking about going to powerflow after pay day and getting a rear box and would like to know if a 6x4 oval will fit in the standard sri back bumper cut out and if any body has pics of a 6x4 oval on a vec c that would be great.

Also if i got the back box and a decat what do you think the performance gains would likely be if any will get the centre section done when its needed but it still looks like it has a fair bit of life left in it.

    Thanks in advance guys

5x3 fits perfectly m8. Click on my signature for pics of my old vec with twin outlets. Most powerflow dealers will do a cat back system for around £350

Waste of time decatting and leaving centre box on-that will still restrict it massively but keep it quiet. If you've got a diesel take the centre box off totally, ask Ditchp about that, or put one on that adds to performance!

That's exactly what i did. Replaced from cat back and had a box fitted either side. The hangers are already there

I've got a box either side as well but when I went to have it done they were only going to put on 1 box with an extension pipe across to the other side to give it 2 exits

Just got off the blower to my local powerflow agent and it will be £185 for the back box and £65 for the cat pipe not to bad .

I agree with what your saying about leaving the centre section in,but surley taking the cat out and leaving the centre box on for now will make a difference as for making it louder thats not what im looking for at the end of the day my car is still a sensible family car its used for taking the missus and the bairn out in to the shops etc and would like it to be as quiet as poss i dont mind it being a tad louder but not to much.

Ditchp is only slightly loud, just when you hoof it you can hear the turbo whistle. it really isn't very loud. mine however being a petrol does rattle your ears at times. just looked and yours is a diesel isn't it? just seems a shame to decat it then restrict it again especially if you're going to have a remap as well!

Yeah it is a diesel lol.It was just that when i was under the car the middle section looks in good nick but the back box is looking a bit dodgy so thought that id just leave it on until it needed done also trying to not spend to much on it as saving for the irmy road trip it will be after the trip that il have the map done.

I'd just do the back then do the cat and centre together. If your going Germany you'll see Ditchp's and can go from there!

May as well do Regal whilst your on the south coast cause that's one long trek down! There's a good greasy spoon round the corner!!
