    Default Charity fund raising idea

Now I have stopped making the Charity bee sting arials for Larisa,s Breast cancer charity, I came up with another fund raising idea. Detailing members Vectras, With their, help give their car a full detail, Wash, clay, polish wax,"etc". Weather and time permitting, I don,t know if it would get off the ground "so to speak" how much would members be prpared to donate, would any one be interested, I live in the Birmingham area so it might be limited to those who can travel here, Just an idea though any thoughts would help me to make my mind up. Cheers all.

I was thinking along the same lines Ed- or what about some kind of good parts auction somewhere? I mean, all the good bits we take off, like wheels headlights, rear lights etc etc. We would need somewhere big to hold it for a while then to find somewhere to stage the auction but this way we could have a meet and people can get bits for their cars! Sure Lmf and others could donate a few bits aswell? Just a thought and obviously a lot of work needed but all in a good cause and Brum is quite central!!

    Thumbs up

    Like the idea Ed.
It would though be a good idea if those wanting a "Detail" bring their own products as the cost of buying polishes, waxes etc. would get silly to those providing the service........!

True, or else the 'cost' is such that a small proportion would go back to Ed to cover the materials, with the majority going to the charity.

I'd certainly be willing to pay to have a proper detail of the car - we're talking about with a PC and swirl removal etc?

Yes, it'd be done with the PC's and would be the full works.
Ed & myself spoke about this very briefly and cost of purchasing products was my only concern.
It's not just about the cost financially, as your probably aware, it takes a good few hours to be done properly and those who's cars are being detailed would be expected to do their fair share and no sit and watch !!
I'm first by the way !
