    Default Annoying rattle

    Got an annoying resonant rattle somewhere behind the dash when the car is doing around 40 and have had the dash apart a few times looking for it but havent found the cause. Next thing I wanted to try was to remove the LCD screen (colour sat nav) and see if the rattle is in it. Would I be able to remove the screen (unplugging the two connectors) and drive the car about to see if the rattle is still there, and then reconnect the screen and have everything work as before without a trip to the garage?

    Check the exhaust heat shield ..... you will be suprised !

    mmmmm, good idea -- didnt think of that. Where is it and is it easy to get to?
