    Default Vec-C Traitor

I was sad to see the Vectra go today but after a long line of SRI 150 CDTi's, I decided to try something different. Here's my new car, which I'll be driving for the next 3 or 4 months:

Alfa Romeo 159 1.9 JTD Lusso with Bluetooth Integration

I couldn't resist ordering a red leather interior. Very sumptuous it is too!

The 1.9 JTD 150 engine is the same unit that Vauxhall call 1.9 CDTi 150. It feels similar too!

The rest of the car is completely different. It lacks the outright aggression of a VXR styled Vectra but adds an extra level of sophistication. Plus, although I've lost AFL and Sat Nav, I have gained some spec which the Vec SRi should really have as standard: 4 electric windows, dual zone climate control, electrochromatic rear view mirror, rear vents etc.

I hope as a non Vec-C/Signum driver I can hang around here. I reckon I can still add Vectra knowledge to the discussions and it's only a matter of time before I am back in a Vectra (if there's a high spec runout version). I'll certainly have my name down for an Insignia as soon as the order books open.

In the meantime, there's a lovely Vec SRi NAV XPII with AFL and bluetooth in Leicester just waiting for a new owner.

    They look a nice motor.
They have no room in them and i find the driving position a little odd.
Lets see how long till it's in the garage.

That interior is nice - just hope it doesn't spend more time in the dealers than out!

nice car mate, hope you enjoy it, i had a 156 jtd couple of years back, went well, an easy run, great to drive too. only thing i found was the turning circle wasnt great, personally i liked the driving position, liked the way everything curved in around you. amazing dash at night, really liked the red lights. might consider one when changing!!
