Wink I'm now worried because my car's been fine for too long...

Yes... this might sound quite weird... but my car's been having not much problems for more than 6months now.... and funny enough, i'm actually now worried that everything is going to fall apart soon. I guess this anxiety comes from the unreliability of Opel...(I had sooooo many problems before with my Veccy.)...

Anyhow.. I just wanted to ask a question... how long will it take for the gearbox to fail if there is contamination? Is it something that will fail over time or not? I'm just a bit worried as I'm getting this slight sluggish change from 3rd to 4th gear after 6months of new gearbox...

Also!!! Has anyone fixed the jaggering on idle problem on 3.2L V6s???? Anyone?

Any response would be appreciated guys.... oh yeah, I've been noticing more and more Aussies joining up to this great forum..perhaps we can create a group of Aussie Veccy fanatics and gather up.... just a suggestion....

On the Idle valve issue is either a matter of cleaning it or replacing the whole thing. HTH

I said that to the dealers.. but they said that it was electronically controlled.... so i'm bit confused.... perhaps if I clean the throttle body and fuel injector it could help?!

    Anyways, thanks for the reply

i have a signum 3.0 v6 diesel i believe the idling on it and the 3.2 petrol v6 can be a bit up and down as it was when i just bought mine.
i used fuel treatment that up put in with the diesel when you fill up and it seamed to cure the problem must have gave the injectors a good clean out
