As im a first time driver over sea's what "apart from the car" do I need to bring?? I've got an old paper licance dose that make a differants? or do I need to get a card pronto like
thought a card license was compulsary now any way mate.......
i think will we need...
spare bulb kit,
warning triangle,
hi-vis vests per person in the car,
fire extinguisher,
first aid kit,
european ins cover,
european breakdown cover,
light's changing over for the opposite side of the road ( beam bender's )
hope that's all
EDIT: pre-facelift headlight's should have a switch to swop over the beam pattern, so i am told anyway.....
oh better get one sortted then ******. and a trip to Halford's to thank's for that Rich
better get it changed as I can't unfold it now with out it falling apart
I cellotaped my old one up, looked lovely in 4 pieces!!
I got one of those triangle's from a pound shop. It will do the job. No point in spending loads of money on one from VX or halfrord's.
When folks pay a deposit for the trip, they will receive a run pack....
This will contain helpful hints from last year on what to carry in the car to cover all the legislation of the countrys we pass through, as well as driving tips and speed limit help..
a pink paper license is fine to take abroad, they are an EU qualifing licence, it's only the very old green licence that isn't valid within the EU..
and yes, headlights can be swapped over to the EU settings..this was done on the docks last year..
