    Default Help! Computer Virus

Appear to have a Trojan Horse Small.2.BF virus. AVG said it healed it. Since then though cant connect. Rang up BT (didnt say i had a virus), tried different solutions and they said the ip addy was an invalid addy. Am now waiting for a call from level 2 tech at BT. Does anybody know how i can fix this.

Apparently you can download a free Trojan horse killer from the internet. use that should work so I'm told.

Try and restore the computer - will in all likely hood not remove the virus, but save all you can, if you want to pay £34 for Norton Antivirus, get to Symantec and download - assuming you're online now!!!! - and that may be able to repair damage.

Trojan's detected by AVG can actually be antispy software - have you got lavasoft antispy for example?

try a better anti virus ! avg is ok but obviously not fixing this. If you know the exact name / storage location of the virus you can delete the file from dos (from the command prompt) - only works if you know the virus - google it !!

Thanks for your suggestions, dont think we can delete it as it is a systems file. Avg healed it, is that like fixing it? We tried googling it which gave us a suggestion of start, run, cmd, then typing netsh ip etc but that didnt work.
