    Default 400bhp Astra VXR

    i read yesterday that regal have done a 400BHP Astra VXR

    i cant post like cos i cant find the web page i read it from.

    has any one else heard this or any pics i cant belive 400 horse going thru the front wheels.

    To be honest with you,all this horse power through the front wheels stuff is getting so boring now. Ok so car design has proved it can do it with a modicum of safety, but it really is not without it's ceiling.Unlike rear/all wheel drive,which is what we'll see in the Insignia VXR etc,and lets pray that this time such cars will play their part in confining this front wheel nonsense to automotive history where it belongs........

    nothing wrong with 400 through the front wheels, XO Power Tuning in Gateshead have a 600+bhp Civic EP3 turbo, and its one hell of a quick motor!
    Just means you use the throttle pedal as a pedal, not a switch

    if they can get 400bhp out of a 2 litre engine

    then the question is wot can they get out of a 2.8 litre engine

    Clutch or 'box wouldnt last at 400bhp. Needs some serious non engine work .... brakes etc....

    It'll have to be switchable to a lower bhp map. You couldnt drive that thing in the wet.
