    Default Ecoflex servicing

After logging in for the first time in ages, I seem to have been infected by the winter trade-it-in bug that's been doing the rounds here, and as a result will be swapping my 54 plate Estate for an 07 plate Estate with a few less miles and a few more toys.

Both are 1.9 CDTi 150s however the older car is on the old Ecoflex servicing scheme: i.e. 2years/30000miles whereas the new one is on 1year/20000mile intervals. I don't do that many miles a year so I'd prefer the Ecoflex. Is it possible to get the new car switched to it without voiding the warranty?

I thought the ECOFlex option was dropped in 06 (or thereabouts)?, and couldn't be applied to those models?

A bit over £5K assuming I do trade the old one in - not bad for almost three years of motoring and a big hike in spec (Life -> Design).

I think the Tech2 change can be made but a main dealer will not do it due to the change in policy from Vx that you mentioned.

So did I. But servicing intervals shown on the VX website still indicate that ECOFlex service intervals of 2 years/20,000 miles (30,000 for diesels) are valid for all models with the proviso that for DPF-equipped diesels the mileage has been reduced on ECOFlex to 15,000 and 2-years.

It does state that ECOflex is dependent on the Service indicator which I believe may not be set on facelifts. Maybe GSi 3.2 (Mark) was suggesting that the indicator can be set/re-set via Tech2, as dealers often un-set them.

In short the website states that ECOflex is valid on all models, despite the fact that the service indicator may not be set on current models.

Ah, I thought with the facelifts that as well as dropping the ECOFlex schedule, they'd also actually made it that it wasn't even an option to change back to with Tech 2. I guess not, for the latter.

But the website still shows Ecoflex service intervals for all models from 2002 onwards, albeit with a mileage interval change for 1.9CDTI's.
