    Smile Some Helpful advise needed on the SRi 1.8 VVT Please

    Right im thinking about buying a brand new vectra 1.8 VVt SRi for the Mrs, do much go wrong with the 1.8's etc etc, what sort of MPG do they return etc? any advise would be greatful

    MPG is crap tbh, 25's round town however on a run recnetly i got 39mpg @70mph on the way to brum

    1.9 CDTi all the way for fuel economy, even if they will be a bit more expensive to buy. 120 or 150 would do I'd have thught...

    The 1.8 is too small a engine for a big car like the vectra , you be better off getting the 2.2 maybe a bit more expensive but more performance and same fuel bills , if i was you i get the 1.9 cdti ...

    i would love to get the CDTi 150 so i could use it on long runs as my car is a bit greedy lol, but she only wants a petrol

    Im sure you guys must have a lead right foot!!!! I get 33-39mpg from my 06 Sri depending on whether its a long or short run, I really have nothing to complain about on reliability either, worst that happened was the wiper motor went but replaced quickly under warranty and not a hiccup since, she's been a joy!!!

    i know its a small engine mate but the 1.8 would suit the mrs better, she dont go far enough or put her foot down really to use the power

    she drove a diesel before and didnt like it one bit, ive tried getting her to test drive a CDTi, but she not interested one bit,lol, women huh
