    Default Diesel fumes/smoke damaging paintwork..

While giving my car a very light once over today, i noticed a dull patch on the rear bumper above the exhaust.

It looks like exhaust fumes have damaged the paint work.

Any one else had this sort of thing happen, and whats the cure to stop it happening again once the bumper has been painted?
