Dont know about the oil cooler but im sure you could fit a VX220 2.2 one. The BSR is uploaded through the plug under the ashtray yes and you can do it yourself and then put the original back on incase you have to go to the dealer.
So how do you get the mapping right does it need to be set up on the rollers?
Same as the regal one mate. Id better wait for the BSR/Regal boys to answer that properly as I dont have one myself.
Ok bud cheers for the input.
It's a generic map i.e. developed by BSR from scratch, but the map that goes into your 1.9 150 is the same that will go into every other 1.9 150 - there's no custom tweaking etc. You simply map from the PPC unit and that's it - all done by yourself. No need to visit a rolling road etc. to have anything altered.
There you go, knew it wouldnt be long, D can sniff a BSR thread from a mile away.
Ok cheers but i have already done the air box mod and fitted a k&n am going to fit a FMIC and then decat and performance exhaust system was wanting to do these first then get it mapped to get the best out of the other mods and with the BSR being pre mapped to a standard 150 would it be better to get it mapped on a RR instead with a custom map?
For this you'd need someone to be able to do 'live' tuning. The vectra doesnt support live tuning so it would be a matter of somewhere (like Red Dot where Nutron had his done) starting with a map, tweaking it, reloading it, checking figures etc etc. Nutron has been done this path and I'm sure he'll have some valuable input into this..
You should have an oil cooler on it, the DTi's do, so I'd imagine the CDTi will have also, if it's the same set up it will be a small unit about the size of two digital camera's made of alloy, both the water and the oil run through it, so if you ever get sludge in the header bottle don't auto assume you have a head gasket gone, hth.
