    Default want brightest headlights? recommendations plz?

    hi i do alot of country lane driving in my 07 vecy. i changed bulbs to halfords ultra blue. light given on to road is a nice white but still dont find they are as good as i want them? any one recommend a good bulb? cant afford HID as got big mortgage on my own? willing to spend£30ish

    Philips X-Treme - £25 for 80% brighter bulbs. They're normal yellow/white, not blue.

    I had the Halfords Ultra BLue on my old Astra, didn't rate them at all. Swapped the X-T's back in.

    Well yeah. The light obviously becomes duller going through a filter compared to clear glass.

    I bought bulbs with a blue tint on them, what a waste of money. They looked great and where pure white, but night driving was worse than with standard bulbs.

    i put some philips extreme 80% bulbs in mine on friday also got sidelights free and including delivery it came up to £26.50. am very impressed with them they are alot whiter than my old ones and the blue sidelights i got with them have actually turned out a very bright white also not blue which i thourght. like i say i would defo recomend these bulbs m8.

    If you do want blue bulbs, Narva are the best. You can get the Philips off www.powerbulbs.co.uk - excellent service, I've been using them for years.
