Over the last few months my gearstick has become a bit squeaky and stiff to move. It's not really bad, just a bit annoying
Is there a quick fix or is there easy access?...I have a tin of grease, just need to know where to put it!!!

Take out the oddments tray under the heater controls, just pull firmly towards you. Then remove the ashtray and silver gaiter surround, you can then unclip the gaiter from the rear and pull it up revealing the gear linkage underneath. There's not a lot of room to get your hand in with grease, but a can of WD40 does the trick.
Then as the saying goes..........refitting is the reversal of removal.
Is the box notchy in 1st and second?

If you have a 5 speed F23 box there is. Its Field Remedy 1653. Repair Kit, Partno.: 9201451. Its a dealer job and expensive out of warranty. TBH its better to just live with it.
Will stick with it then mate ..does it more when cold...otherwise its fine.

mines like in in 1 n 2nd but have 07 facelift 6 speed? should i be worried?
dont worry mate i just got a new box and its still like that
It only applies to the F23 5 speed mate. Are the gears hard to engage? Might just be a cable adjustment or the hydraulic clutch that needs bleeding.
