Default Solid flywheel replacement for the DMF ??

Does anyone know if anybody supplies a solid flywheel/Clutch kit for the Vectra-c ??

I know other companies supply such kits for the new Transit Etc, Which suffers with Dual Mass Flywheel issues.

WOuld be great if you could just fit a solid flywheel & forget

Thats exactly what i was thinking, I mean what would it take to manufacture a solid flywheel with a clutch/pressure plate & Release bearing to suit.

The new transits Dmf's are failing rapidly & you can now get the kit for £160 + Vat, Yes there are 100's of transits about , But there are also 100's of vectra's. Surely there is some good money to be made there by someone

    Cheers

yep, they only have to make a new flywheel to use with the standard clutch....maybe one of the major tuners will drop on to quite an open market..

Been on z22se looking into this and it seems it could be possible, use a lightened flywheel and clutch from a Vec B, then you need a spacer for the slave cylinder(to move it closer to the clutch),not much cheaper but more reliable!

You must of been reading my brain (Can be done quite quickly ) I was thinking last night if the Vectra B solid setup was similar to the Vec-c & could be adapted.

    Good bit of info there

Do you have a link to your findings ??

Same principle I imagine to apply to Vec C box, I have been looking at a way around this as I want to fit a lightened flywheel!

If someone gets more detail on this, share the wealth!!

Has anyone tried using a solid flywheel and appropriate clutch kit, possibly using a different fluid pipe to the slave cylinder to get rid of this crazy unreliable dual mass flywheel.
