try dropping the cars battery off for a while steve, if it's a faultcode stored on the door module it should clear and it might make it work again...other than that, it's door skin off to check the electrics out
Check the wiring between the door and the pillar also, one of my Omegas had this trouble, and it was the micro wires inside the sleeve that had snapped, either through ppl booting it on the way out of the car, or the constant motion of the door opening and closing, does the central locking and illumination still work?
That would suggest Marks opinion then, it can still be the case, but before you do any spending, have the neg lead off the battery for the night and see if it cures it.
never had the battery off before is there anything important to remember when reconecting i'e Alarm system
nope, it will all work again okay steve, just leave it off for about 15mins..
You do have your radio code don't you incase it asks for it ( unlikely)
Well i finally sorted it this evening as i actually had abit of free time , it was a broken thickish red wire that broke just after the connection (inside door) resulting in a total power failiure to the window motor , so with a bit of soldering and heatshrink its now working as good as the day i got it
