    Default VXR8 insurance....help

Thinking of trading my 56 150 design Signum in. My local VX dealing has a VXR8 in his showroom, 57 plate, can do a deal at £30 K. but my questions are:

is that a good price? and..............
where the hell do i get a good insurance deal?

wife will let me spend the money on the car, but not too happy about
    the massive insurance cost.

(company pay all my fuel !!)

I've just done a quick quote on confused.com and -

    The VXR8 comes back at ----- £1300
The Monaro VXR comes in at - £1300 also.

The price doesn't surprise me as I don't live in the most desirable area, but I am surprised that both cars cost the same to insure; especially as one is 30k and the other is 18k.

£30k from a showroom for a ex-demo VXR8 is the going rate yes. Very nice car though will depreciate like a lead baloon with fuel prices etc.

Insurance depends where you live age etc. Around £500-600...

i may be wrong, but i think the VX has more toys on board, and looks better.

Impreza looks chavy to me, and i would need to buy all the extras to even come close the VX.

but its close one i must say.
