Default BSR remap, stg. 1 or 3 ?

    BSR Remap stg. 1 or 3 ?
Which do i go for ?
The car has 5200 miles on the clock.
Think about it first before you answer, the stage 3 obviously will be the best performance figures but take this into consideration....
1/ If the dealer see's the sports exhaust and/or performance filter, will he scream "modifications" and void any warrenty claim ?
2/ Will the stg 3 put any extra stress on the new engine ?
3/ The wifes mentioned booking another trip to Florida ! That makes it a little more "difficult" to hide £1600+ going out the account ! (£560 for a stage 1 i could probably get away with).

At the moment stage 3 is where i'd like to be but stage 1 seems more sensible as it can be removed before dealer visits, unlike the stage 3 upgrades which i can't hide.

    What would you do ?

Have consideration for the deaf, if you're gunna fart, make it smell !

If you're worried about the warranty, especially if your dealer is not as 'understanding' as mine is, then as above maybe just get the Stage 1 for starters. No visible sign that it's installed, then upgrade to Stage 3 when your warranty is up, or when you decide "Hang it, I'm gonna get it anyway!" lol

Even if you got Stage 3, just because it had different exhausts, that's not going to void your whole warranty. At the end of the day you just say you've added a sports exhaust - that's the only bit that they're going to see.

Go for Stage 1 Phil, You can then enjoy the extra power.. and have Stage 3 to look forward to another day... when you've got bored

As Duncan has said, your Exhaust falls out of warrantee when the car is 1 years old anyways..

D, do you revert back to the normal map still if it goes into the dealers?
Or maybe it doesnt matter now cos its out of warranty?

Nah, I'm out of warranty now - including my extended Net Q - so it just stays as it is. They know I have the Stage 3 kit as well anyway. They knew I had the Stage 1 when it was still under warranty and were cool with it. They'd have still put through any engine claim to Vx, as long as it was obvious that it wasn't directly caused by the remap.

Phil... you coming to Santa Pod then once its all done....

I'll be going again soon with the EDS300 to pitch it against Nutrons Diesel 230...

Should be soon.... ... and guaranteed to be entertaining as I will be running with Traction Control turned off !!

I'll be taking my crash helmet, just in case I break the 110 mph rule
