Dang, I missed it. (Is this a re-run, I'm sure I saw the trailers for this a few months back?)
If you missed it, download it with the BBC I player.
I guess this shows that a lot of people wouldnt eat animals if they had to kill them themselves, sorta makes them hypocrites in my book.........gets off soapbox, rolls up sleeves, stands ground.
What they show is not what happens in busy slaughterhouses, ones that supply supermarkets kill hundreds of animals a day , they dont have time to make sure they are killed right or stunned correctly , its a fast paced production line.
No im not concerned i love meat , but that program shows it in a nicey nicey sort of way, not what happens in the real world when they kill hundreds on a conveyor type system, it could give people the wrong impression of what really happens
I agree , if more people saw what happened in an abatoir, they would go off meat, not just the obvious distress the animals ( especially the larger species who seem to sense their impending doom ) display, but the slurry processed bits ( lips and ********s as someone once said ) that are scraped up and formed into "nuggets/cutlets/burgers" etc......
