is the vp44 anygood for 2.2dti.any one have 1

i read a post on here saying the 2.2dti diesel pumps are fragile and the vp44 can break them .

does anyone have one or have had one to get views

Is a Bosch PSG16-VP44. There are two types of this pump: one with one jack plug connection and another with two (one at the front and one at the rear) jacks plug connection. Searching in the web I found that only the pumps with one connection can safely be upgraded.
Anyway, I own a 2.2DTI, I don't know what type of pump is in, but i provide it with an Irmscher tuning chip and all works ok... until now!

i ran a DTUK VP44 box on my old B 2.0 DTi and she flew afterwards.

i did 70k miles in it before the turbo went at 140k miles

the box might of marginally affected the turbo going but who knows.

oh and it was driven like it was stolen
