but for £480 i could get these instead http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/17-ALLOY-WHEEL...QQcmdZViewItem

First off the tyres on the ones on ebay will be too small for your Vectra, they wll fit but will knock the speedo out, and look a little silly wioth that size. You'll need 215/50/17 .

What wheels are on your car at the moment??

They look quite nice, they would be an a$$ to keep clean though.

your only talking a difference of about 10mm on the rolling radius of the wheel, so the effect on the speedo would be minimum, maybe 2-3mph at 70mph, and that's in the worst case, i went from 215/50/R17 to 215/30/R17's on the clio and was only 2mph out after the change at 70mph ( via GPS )

That seems expensive, i had 4 refurbed and painted black for £150. Done by http://www.pristinealloywheels.co.uk/ mind you that was trade but all the same £305. Are they having a laugh?

When was that you had them done..
I got told by the guy there they charged £58 a wheel for 17" wheels for the refurb, and £30 per wheel for any repairs/cracks etc...

are you dropping off the car and leaving it with them or just giving them the naked wheels to begin with?

that price is a bit pricey but you've got to compare like for like.

also, those 17s are nice but too busy for a 17 inch wheel, they'll look really small.

a full refurb is definitely the best way to go, don't go the 'mobile repair' route as their work cannot compare to a full refurb.

have you considered changing the colour of your alloys, i did when i got mine done as the silver on the SRi alloys aren't as sparkly as i wanted. in the end i went for a smoked grey colour
