Default Sciatica - Anyone know of any natural solution's..

I wonder if any of you lot can help me...

My Mum was diagnosed(If thats the right word) with Sciatica back in November, and it basically render's her almost unable to walk due to the excruciating pain she has in her legs because of it.

She has been to the doctor's tonight, and they have just given her more of the same painkillers and told her it will sort itself out in time..

Has anyone on here had Sciatica and/or got any advice on ways to ease the pain.. Cost isnt a problem, as i will pay for it for her, i cant sit here and watch her suffer!

I know very little about Sciatica, other than what i have learnt on the internet in the last 15 minutes.

I had 'Cold Laser' treatment for my back problems. I got it through my healthcare insurance.

I had acupuncture once. Thought it was total hogwash, but it cured my back in two visits.

still got it myself from a back injury 6 months ago..
drugs...pain killers and anti inflammatory's or nerve blockers..gabapentin etc
    hydrotherapy...
    heat treatment...
    manipulation../ physiothereapy...
unfortunately none have worked with me including every combination of drugs and the above!..
i am just about to go in for an epidural into the spine to try and reduce the swelling etc (from 2 prolapsed discs) and help the nerves come free,,,
unfortunately it can be a long drawn out process..
at the mo I have little feeling in my left foot and lots of shooting pains etc through my ar se and leg from it...it aint nice and know how she must feel!

Sorry, I do know what your Mum is going through, I had a hip replaced which was a prefect job, but because I 'd struggled to walk correctly, I developed a prolapsed disk this trapped the syntactic nerve and the pain down my leg was unbearable at times, I only took mild painkillers until I saw my specialist and he put me on a morphine derivative, 7 day patch ,which enabled me to at least start some therapy. I don't take the pain killer anymore and enjoy a normal life now.
Do try and see a specialist, a GP won't always prescribe this type of painkiller.
    Best of luck
