    Default Cdti vectra estates

    All,

    Great site.

I am looking for some advice please.

I am coming back to the griffin fold after a few years Scooby ownership. Mostly due to reliablity and cost but also as my large family need to come first and service and running costs of the EJ20R and just to High .

Really like the look of the vec c estate but I have a few questions.....

Are the design and Elite the only models with rear electric windows and what else do they get over the Sri models in the way of spec.

    150 or 120 Cdti or 3.0?

How do you tell if it's a real 150 or if someone has just changed the badge on the rear? - silly question I know....but is it stated on the logbook or anything.

Reading the poll alot of people are complaining of problems with the Cdti 150 - or is that more have posted because more own them on here?>

Any advice on buying and running costs etc would be greatly appreaciated.

    Rgs

    Bobby

Regarding if its a 120 o 150, the oil cap is near the batterie on the 150 and on the 120 its at the front next to the air filter. Also the 120 is 8v and the 150 is 16v. HTH

The 120 and 150 are stated on the V5, all V5's now state the power in KW, and also have either 120 or 150 on the title.

Elite had leather, heated seats, power tailgate, colour sat nav, auto lights.................

It is alot higher spec than the SRi.

    Go for an Elite mate,

SRi's are not all that in terms of Spec....(I should now, I have one!)

Design has the power tail as well, but an Elite is a better choice and get one with a sunroof if you can, it finishes the package off nicely.

What you will gain with an Elite is

    Full Leather
    Colour Sat Nav
    Nicer Wheels
    Climate

My mate bought a Design one brand new about a yr ago, and although he's over the moon with it he wishes he'd got an Elite instead, avoid the SRi, nicest looker but like a Life inside.

Elite has much nicer spec but in my opinion does not handle as nicely as the SRi.
However it would be a damm sight cheaper to uprate the suspension on an Elite than to upgrade to, Leather, climate, power tailgate etc on an SRi!!!

It depends what you add from the optional extra list of course....

Im more than happy with the spec of My SRi NAV XP estate.. only thing i have missing is sunroof because the sales guy told me with my 6'2" height i may rump my head on the sunroof internals and also the afl because the same said sales guy told me they only sold 1 in 50 cars with afl fitted...
as for leather trim, i have a 3.2DiD shogun warrrior with leather if i feel the need to slide about..

You would've been ok with a roof Pete, I'm the same height as you and I get in and out of my mates one ok, not like the old days where the roof was so low you had to drive head tilted.
