On a standard one it'll spool from low revs, one of the nice things about this engine is that it has very little lag. So from around 1500 you'll be hearing the turbo spinning. It'll then gradually tail off as you rev higher as it doesn't need to be spinning at those revs.

In terms of power band, well it's basically across the whole rev range! The bhp graph from a rolling road is basically a nice ascending curve.

    Thanks,

I used to have a pug 307 HDi; to get the best performance you used to have to keep the turbo spinning in the power band!

Currently the engine is Standard but i've been reading up on BSR it seems like the way forward...I've seen your feedback on it Duncan and all seems Good!

I'm gonna keep the car std for 6 months before I think about the re-map.

I've seen loads of different 0-60 times for the std 2.0T unit what is the 'real world' figure.

    Cheers

    Dennis

    Standard 0-60 is I believe 8.4.

    Duncan,

Any idea what the times would be for Stage1 and Stage3 BSR?

    Thanks

I think Stage 1 is a bit under a second less, Stage 3 a bit more again - but the 0-60 times don't tell the whole story. Where the BSR kit excels in is in the mid-range performance, the difference it makes there is somewhat noticeable, especially Stage 3!!

I agree entirely with what Duncan says. The official 0-60 time for the Signum 2.0T is indeed 8.4 secs (8.1 for the Vectra 2.0T). The 2.0T will pull from as low as 1100 revs, with no lag and with maximum torque from about 2,500 revs. What makes it special is its in-gear performance. You will not regret getting yours remapped.
