Yes, I know MIJ's price is ****** good but I thought, as a comparison, I'd approach my local tyre/exhaust garage that I've used for years, to get a price for two back boxes.

Good job I was sitting down at the time.............

    £660.00

Makes even Magnex look cheap - Maz here I come.

    hell!!

When I looked at my back boxes a couple of weeks back they are starting to rust quite badly. I hope the Elite versions aren't as much.

I think you'll find the same mate but I may be wrong. Cheapest option open to me is to have a new cat back stainless system from MIJ Performance @ £357.00

Damn (and that's the polite version ).

They aren't blowing at the moment but not sure they'll pass the next MOT around May - I'll need to get them checked before then.

Appreciate the heads up and the reply though.

Maybe, they'll probably last til then. Mum lives in Wolverhampton so I'd make a weekend of it.

Just a question of whether I can get the cash together cos the insurance is also due in March (ouch). Hadn't budgeted to replace them this soon but there's no time like the present?
