Rubber / Plastic Front Spring Mod

Hi,
Can anybody tell me any more info about this rubber or plastic front spring mod becasue I've got my veccy in at the dealers today for the knocking and crunching noises but they've never heard of it before and probably think i'm a bit

Any help appreciated.

There's a part number listed in that section m8, but the dealers probably wouldn't classify it as a mod, its just a 2 inch green rubber sleeve that fits over the bottom coil of the front springs.

Edit: 13178463 Retail at £1.05 each.

Well, if I believed my dealer mine has had them fitted 3 times LOL it still makes the "clonk" sound once in a while ! when talking to my dealer about it I thought I had ended up at Chester Zoo to have a conversation with the chimps !!

Took mine in for this & the drop links. Dealer just did the links as they said the spring mod was already on (car was only 11 months old when I bought it).

That seemed to cure it for a couple of months, now it's back! Very frustrating.

Just collected the car, and apparently the springs already have these on so they didn't need doing.

When I booked it in, I asked them to check over the whole setup down there, but on collection the wheels still have all the brake dust on and around the bolts

, surely if they were going to check the whole lot, they'd have to take the wheels off at least???

Does anybody have any ideas what else could be causing the knocking sound from the front, i can live with the crunching sound when going over speed bumps for now but this knock is doing my head in!

Oh, one other thing is (can't describe it very well) when the road has a slight dip on one side, the whole car is drawn into it and it's quite a fight to bring it back into a straight line, almost like it's wandering off on it's own! I'm sure all these issues are related but it's just finding the duff part.

Any help appreciated.

It`s very strange that the dealer have no clue at all about the SPRING MOD as we call it....there is a recall about it, their computer software even shows how to do it mate. My suggestions is that you change dealer ASAP
