    confused windscreen wipers only go one speed?

    when you push stalk up once the wipers come on ok when you push the stalk up again to chage speed wipers freeze in position knock the stalk down once again and they start working again is this normal?

    also is it possible to remove danger notice when it show up on car ie danger road surface maybe slippery etc it says ok at bottom of screen but wont allow me to click on it

    think there is a small button on end of wiper stalk press that to clear the message.

    is that the up and down buttons on the end if so tryed that and just brings me into fuel comsumption etc then when i cancel out of it messege is still there

    look behind the up and down buttons.. there's a long tall vertical one.. press that and the message will disappear

    wiper fault sounds like a duff wiper motor to me..

    thanks still getting to grips with this car

    wiper motor a common problem on these cars?

    not unknown....unfortunatly...

    the only good news is it is a DIY'able part if your handy with the spanners..

    9 years in accident repair so il give it a bash do i need complete motor and linkages or can you just get motor on its own second hand motor maybe?

    try for a 2nd hand motor....the entire linkage is around £130 with the motor on it..

    Follow the SteveH 'how-2' and you'll be fine....just watch the drive alignment as it's crucial.....but steve explains it well..( he should do....i told him how to do it....)

    that great thanks for your help just found the button on the wiper stalk and it cancels the message no problem thanks again
