    Default Astray T9

Astra 888 has been revised to T9 (I'm assuming they're not going to call it the 999)

Evo seem happy with it - and I can remember Jon was chuffed with his 888 - so this thing must be good!

Yeah they have been around for a few months, basically thurlby take a 2nd Astra CDTi 150 , and stick some bits on and sell them for more than a new one !! Also managed to p155 off all the guys who bought the limited edition T8 , only to find a new version hot on it`s heals .... It will never be as exclusive as the t8 though which was a cracking car ...

Just out of interest, because it's always a bone of contention - they claim 200bhp and 350ish lbft...on whose rollers?

The T9 also uses the same engine, so I doubt they will either!
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

The T8 was a cracking car. Was a fantastic road tool and toy and I loved it to bits. Wish I had it for the missus still so I could still enjoy it.

T9 never seen, sounds good but doesn't have the looks of T8 IMO. Just looks a little too aftermarket.

Figures were never got on 'rollers' as it's not the best measurement. I think they were done on a Dyno Hub where the wheels are removed and hubs are bolted to the car. More accurate

My T8 got over the 200bhp barrier On a number of different rollers. Best it got was 208bhp I think?

Still forget numbers, drive one. Foooook me it's quick along the backroads.

My only critisism of the T8 is when I went to the full power mode by pressing the sports button, the throttle went stupidly sensitive and didn't feel like I had complete control.

Now I drive an Audi A8 4.2 Quattro with every thing electric... still!

That is my feelings on "the numbers" , forget pub talk, it`s how it drives that counts, seat of your pants is the best judge !!

Agreed on that one - it doesn't look anything like - Thurlby are showing a dark blue one with small (well they look it) gold alloys.......
